It was lovely to be back in school today ! Having been on the Kagan training , and then to Brussels before half term, it seems like ages since I saw you all!
First of all Y4 had their first encounter with eTwinning! Madame Le Calvé’s class had prepared an interactive game of “who’s who?” with all the clues in French. Then they had their first Skype call – it was great to see Madame Le Calvé’s new class and say “bonjour”!
Year 3 listened to a story – they spotted lots of cognates, and were able to join in with the story, and predict what would happen next. Then they retold and adapted part of the story – look at their fantastic French sentences :
In Y5 and 6 we learned parts of the body – and how to sing “head, shoulders, knees and toes” in French! If you want to practice at home, here are the words:
La tête, les épaules, les genoux et les pieds,
La tête, les épaules, les genoux et les pieds,
Les yeux, la bouche, le nez et les oreilles,
La tête, les épaules, les genoux et les pieds!
We also had a go at a French tongue twister … Let’s see if anyone is brave enough to try saying it back to me next week.
