In Y3 we learned to use the word mais (but) in a sentence – we played quiz quiz trade , revised how to say we adore or déteste  something, then wrote some fab sentences !

In Y4 we skyped with Madame Le Calvé’s class again – it seems ages since we last saw them, because we had 2 weeks holiday, then they had the next 2 weeks off… We’re back on it now!  We talked about St George’s Day, as I had sent them a book about the story. They found it very interesting, and had been learning about the flags that make up our Union Jack.

Next week we are going to play “guess who” with them via Skype, so Y4 you need to practise describing someone:

Il a = he has

Elle a = she has

Les cheveux = the hair

Les yeux = the eyes

Une moustache = a moustache

Une barbe = a beard

Des lunettes = some glasses

longs = long  courts = short    bouclés = curly    en brosse = spiky

Marron = brown     roux = red / ginger      noirs = black      blonds = blonde

Il a les cheveux noirs?  He has black hair?

Elle porte des lunettes? She wears glasses ?

Il a les yeux bleus?  He has blue eyes?

Elle a les cheveux roux?  She has red hair ?

Il a les cheveux courts ? He has short hair?

Elle a les cheveux longs? She has long hair?

We have continued our work on personal descriptions in UKS2, and have started making some Lego mini books – needless to say,  everything is awesome! Watch this space – I’ll post some pictures when we have finished them.
