Year 6 are learning to tell the time in French, which to be fair can be quite tricky in English at the best of times ! But they really persevered and can now say half past ( et demie) , quarter past ( et quart) and quarter to ( moins le quart)
So half past five would be:
Il est cinq heures et demie.
