Saint Nicolas

We have been learning about French traditions surrounding Saint Nicolas’ Day this week. On the eve of 6th December French children put their shoes outside their door in the hope that Saint Nicolas will come riding by on his donkey and put sweets, chocolates, an orange or a gingerbread man in them!
