In Y6 we played French playground games in the sunshine to celebrate the end of SATS week. We played boules, la marelle ( like hopscotch, but with slightly more complicated rules) and beret. Beret is a game where you have to lines facing each other. Each person has a number ( the same as the person opposite) – a “beret” ( or in our case a beanbag!) is thrown in the middle & the leader calls out a number in French. The 2 people who have that number have to race with one hand behind their back to pick up the beanbag – no touching of the other player allowed!
In y4 and y5 we learned about la famille and wrote some fantastic sentences describing la famille Simpson:
In Y3 we practised using “C’est” and learned how to say “et aussi” ( and also). We played a great card game to practise speaking and listening.
